Quick Start

  • A GitHub account
  • A Hugo or Astro static site in a GitHub repo
  • Access to scribe.toaweb.com (via toa:// portal)

Go to scribe.toaweb.com and log in via Authentik.

On first login you will be taken to the GitHub connection screen. Click Connect GitHub and authorize toa://scribe in the GitHub OAuth screen.

Choose which GitHub repos you want to manage with scribe. You can change this selection at any time from Settings.

If your repo doesn’t have a scribe.yaml config file yet, scribe will launch the bootstrap wizard. Fill in:

  • Framework (Hugo or Astro)
  • Categories
  • Authors
  • Edit zones (which folders to edit)

scribe creates scribe.yaml automatically via GitHub.

Select a repo, pick a file from the sidebar, and start writing. Click Publiser to commit to GitHub and trigger a build.
